Relaxation Tips For The Busy Woman
Modern life can be pretty stressful. This is more applicable to the 21st century woman who achieves the "superwoman status" juggling her career and kids with great ιlan. To the world, she is indeed an example to be followed, and is eulogized. However, has anyone delved deep inside to gauge the serious damages she has been subjecting herself to in order to become a super achiever?
The long hours of working in the office, meeting hundreds of demands of the kids, or husband, attending to domestic chores, all take their toll on her emotional and physical health. The result is heightened exhaustion and even long term serious illnesses. It is high time that a busy woman of today realizes this and masters certain techniques of relaxation.
Organize your agenda for the day:-Jot down your priorities for a particular day. Make it a point to include to your next day's agenda of the things that remain unfinished. This will help you overcome a lot of frustrations. This is akin to an organized closet where you get your shoes and clothes all perfectly arranged.

Stop rushing:-"Slow down" should be the mantra for most women of today. Take your time to realize that time will not move any faster or slower no matter how hard you try. Time moves on its own pace, so why should you not do the same? Stop the rush against time. Concentrate your energies on more imperative tasks rather than on trifles. The results will be satisfactory and you will be avoiding unnecessary stress and confusion.
Stop trying to be a perfectionist all the time:-Put a limit to your capabilities of multitasking. You are not a super human. The faster you realize that, the better for you. Set realistic goals. Do not indulge in self blame if you fall short of your expectations. Keep your mind focused on the main things to be accomplished.
Don't shy away from asking help: - Learn to relax on the weekends. If you are a new mom, entrust your baby once in a while to a baby sitter or a friend. You can go for a movie, or just dine out with your friends or your husband. After all you do have the right to relax as much as any other person.
Pamper yourself:-This is for women workaholics who believe that if they give some time to themselves they will surely be lagging behind. Nothing can be further from truth. Sometimes it is effective to give yourself a break of either 10 minutes or a day or two. You will get a scope for self introspection. This way you will be in a better position to analyze and handle stressful situations. Learn to reward and pamper yourself for small tasks achieved. Visit the spa, indulge in the chocolate mocha latte, or buy that lovely piece of jewelry which you had been eyeing for months.
Yoga, meditation, walking, and reading inspirational books, all do immense good to soothe the nerves of a modern busy woman.
